What is Pomodoro + Focus Player?
This is a combination of a customizable Pomodoro timer and a distraction-free Focus Player, designed to help you study with structure and complete concentration.
The Pomodoro timer brings time discipline by dividing your study into focused intervals and breaks, while the Focus Player ensures that when you learn from YouTube, you are not distracted by suggestions, comments, or algorithm-driven content.
Together, these tools create a controlled study environment where your time is structured and your attention is protected. This combination helps you stay consistent, avoid distractions, and focus only on what truly matters.
How to use Pomodoro:
- Set your focus duration (default: 25 minutes, or customise it using the Settings icon)
- Choose your break type:
- Short break (default: 5 minutes)
- Long break (default: 10 minutes)
- (Both can be customised using the Settings icon)
- Click on Settings to personalise your experience:
- Select a theme for a comfortable study environment
- Adjust timer durations (focus, short break, long break)
- Set an alarm sound for session completion
- Add background music:
- Paste a Spotify or YouTube link
- Start the timer and focus on a single task
- Avoid all distractions during the session
- Take breaks as per your selected duration when the timer ends
- Repeat the cycle to maintain consistency and build momentum
How to use Focus Player:
- Copy the URL of the YouTube video (lecture) you want to watch
- Paste the link here and click on Watch.
- Play it within the focus environment
- Avoid switching tabs or exploring other content
- Use it to maintain concentration during study sessions
